Self-Reliance Medical was established June 6th 2020 by two Fire Captains/Paramedics with over 40 years experience combined. Our mission is to educate and empower the confidence  our clients to have in his or her own efforts and abilities. Self-Reliance Medical will give you the proper medical training Trauma First Responder, TECC-LEO, TECC and the tools to give you the ability to depend on yourself to get things done and meet your own needs.

THE HISTORY... Trauma is the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 1 - 46 of age. Civilians need basic training in bleeding control principles so they are able to provide immediate, frontline aid until first responders are able to take on care of an injured person. Due to many situations, there may be a delay between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene. Without civilian intervention in these circumstances, preventable death will occur . 

THE TEAM... SRM provides an effective solution and curriculum to improve your organization's resilience to disaster. Our Instructor teams are all licensed medical personnel with speciality training in educating medical and non-medical populations. SRM has a broad cadre of instructors who are qualified, certified, licensed, insured and experienced in each curriculum we deliver .

JUAN PEREZ

Is the co-founder of SRM. Juan Perez is a Professional Captain Paramedic in Orange County, California. He has over 25 years of experience in the fire service. Juan Perez is certified instructor for TCCC, TECC, and PHTLS. Juan's experience also includes NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, NRA Personal Protection Inside the home Instructor, and LSU/NCBRT Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency ResponseTrainer. In addition to Juan being a gun enthusiast, he also enjoys Overlanding and seeking adventure outdoors. Juan focuses on maintaining Mental Wellness and staying in tune with overall physical well being.

CHRIS JAIME

Is the co-founder of SRM. Chris Jaime comes with diverse training and experience. Chris Jaime is a Professional Captain Paramedic in Orange County, California.  He is also certified instructor for TCCC, TECC, and PHTLS. Chris is also a LSU/NCBRT Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response Trainer.  In addition to Chris also holds a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is certified Black Belt with the IBJJF. Chris is passionate in teaching and empowering individuals in being self reliant and effective in stressful situations.
